HDMI and VGA port can’t be used simultaneously.
Only HDMI port could transmit audio and video, VGA interface could only transfer video.

– Chargers used for smartphone or tablet with output lower than 29W (like 18W, 24W… etc) are not compatible. They does not support 15V output and can’t supply enough power.
– DO NOT use standard USB charger and USB-C to USB adapter, they does not work.
– Using a charger with output power lower than Surface needed, it gets hotter which is very normal.

The nylon braided female USB-C charging cable requires a proper USBC to USBC cable and 45W 15V USBC charger. The USBC to USBC cable must support 3A current, USBC PD Charger or charging bank must support 45W (or more) and 15v output. Some Apple PD power chargers has no 15v output.
